Pricing

Predictable, usage‑based pricing.

One plan at $39/month with 100 GB of logs, traces and metrics each, then a flat $0.30/GB. Nothing is metered by seat, host or query, and this page and your invoice show the same numbers.

30-day retention on every signal. Metrics are metered by volume like everything else, so a high-cardinality series costs by the bytes it sends.

Estimates based on published pricing as of September 2026. Actual costs may vary based on contract terms, volume discounts, and additional features. Maple pricing based on the Startup plan ($39/mo with 100 GB included per signal (logs, traces, metrics), then $0.30/GB, billed per signal), metered on uncompressed (decoded OTLP) bytes. Trace volume is estimated at about 25 GB of spans per APM host a month. Datadog log indexing assumes 1 KB per event with 15% of events indexed.

What it works with

Every language and signal you already run.

Maple takes OTLP straight in, so anything OpenTelemetry can instrument is covered. Official SDKs, integrations and alert channels on top.

APM & tracing

Auto-instrument with an official Maple SDK, or point any OpenTelemetry SDK at the ingest endpoint.

Frontend & mobile

Logs & infrastructure

Logs ride the same OTLP pipeline as traces. Kubernetes ships as a Helm chart; containers, Prometheus endpoints and Cloudflare come with their own collectors.

OpenTelemetry native

Maple accepts OTLP from any language or framework OpenTelemetry supports. If it can emit OTLP, Maple can store it, query it and alert on it.

Ways to run Maple

Pick where it runs. The product is the same.

Every option is the same platform: the same UI, query engine, alerts and MCP server. What changes is who operates it and where the data lives.

Local
Free

One binary on your machine: OTLP ingest, an embedded database and the dashboard on 127.0.0.1. No account, no cloud, no rate limits.

Best when

You're developing or debugging on a laptop or in CI.

Run the source under FSL-1.1 on your own infrastructure. Retention and residency are your call.

Best when

Telemetry can't leave your network.

Best when

You'd rather not operate observability.

Enterprise

Higher volume, custom retention, priority support, and the option to run in your own cloud account.

Best when

There's a compliance review or a volume that needs a quote.

FAQ

Common questions

How is volume measured?
Per signal, on the decoded OpenTelemetry payload: the bytes your logs, spans and metric points occupy once the ingest endpoint unpacks them, before compression. Each signal has its own 100 GB allowance and they are not pooled. Sending 250 GB of logs and 10 GB of traces bills 150 GB of log overage, not zero.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
Usage alerts tell you as you approach your included volume. On the Startup plan, additional usage is billed at $0.30 per GB, per signal, the rate shown on this page. If you would rather not go over, set an overage cap per signal and ingest for that signal is rejected at the cap.
Can I cap what I spend?
Yes. Set an overage cap per signal in the billing settings, and usage alerts at the thresholds you choose. When a signal reaches its cap, ingest for that signal is rejected until the billing cycle resets. Caps and alerts run on the same usage your invoice is built from.
Do metrics cost extra?
No. Metrics are metered by volume like logs and traces: 100 GB included, then $0.30 per GB. There is no per-series, per-sample or custom-metric surcharge.
How are browser sessions and product events billed?
A browser session is one visitor session recorded by the browser SDK, replay included. 5,000 are included each month, then $0.002 per session. Product events are unlimited and free while they are in beta.
How long is data retained?
The Startup plan keeps data for 30 days. Enterprise plans have custom retention periods. Every plan can query all of its retained data.
Is there a free trial?
The Startup plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A credit card is required, and you are not charged until the trial ends. Enterprise plans start with a conversation.
Is Maple compatible with OpenTelemetry?
Yes. Maple ingests OpenTelemetry directly. Any application instrumented with an OTel SDK or the OTel Collector can send data to Maple without code changes. No proprietary agent is required.
Can I self-host Maple?
Yes. Run Maple on your own infrastructure against a ClickHouse you operate, using the Docker Compose setup in the repository. Maple Cloud is there for teams that would rather not operate it.
Where is my data stored?
Maple Cloud runs in two regions: the United States and the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). You choose one when you create your organization, and all of its telemetry is stored and processed there. The region cannot be changed later. Pricing is the same in both. To keep the data inside your own network, self-host Maple.
